Anna C. Kalkiewicz, 87, formerly of Allentown, died peacefully Aug. 22, 2024, while a guest at Whitehall Manor.
Born in New Boston, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late Constantine J. and Anna S. (Michaels) Kalkiewicz.
A secretary for Bell Telephone for more than 35 years, she retired in 1992.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Whitehall.
She enjoyed her membership in the Telephone Pioneers of America and volunteered as a nurse’s assistant in Philadelphia.
Her survivors include sisters Patti Sheehan with husband, Robert, with whom she resided in Whitehall, Georgette Pester of Quakake, Schuylkill County, and Barbara Kurtz of Trapp; brothers Thomas of Winfield Park, N.J., and Robert and wife, Margaret, of Mahanoy City; and nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was predeceased by her brother Jerome, sister-in-law Kathleen, and brothers-in-law John and James.
Arrangements were made by Gilbert Funeral Home, Whitehall.
