Blippi, ”The Wonderful World Tour,” 5:30 p.m. Aug. 29, Fairgrounds Grandstand. The show and character of Blippi, a guy wearing orange suspenders, a bowtie and glasses was created by Stevin John of Las Vegas, who posted the first episode on YouTube in 2014. Clayton Grimm has played Blippi in live performances. The character, Meekah, has been played by Kaitlin Becker and Cashae Monya. A spin-off series, “Blippi’s Treehouse,” began in 2021 on Amazon Kids+, with two more characters, Scratch and Patch, who are puppets. “Blippi Wonders” is an animated children’s web series based on Blippi with Tabbs, an orange cat; D, a blue dog, and the Blippi Mobile. Blippi inspires curiosity in preschoolers by creating content and experiences that are relatable, accessible and make learning fun. Blippi has become a worldwide sensation with more than one billion monthly views on Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, Cartoonito, Sky, Peacock, Roku and YouTube. In the live show, characters dance, sing and learn along with Blippi as he travels to new cities, with special guest Meekah. The character Blippi is played by professional stage performers. The show is intended for toddlers and children.
