K-Kids Roundup Golf, boys soccer win; tennis falls
The Northampton golf team was a winner over Stroudsburg Tuesday to improve to 10-1.
Gavin Pychinka led the way with a 73 and Jayden Bleiler had a 75. CJ Stumpf carded 77 and Kohler Strohl had an 80. Hunter Probst paced the Mounties, like he has all year, scoring a 69.
The team also won over East Stroudsburg South. The win improved the Kids record to 9-1 with their only loss coming to their EPC rivals Nazareth.
The Kids shot 364 behind Pychinka, Strohl and Stumpf who all shot 70 to lead the way. Bleiler shot 74 and Derek Moyer carded an 80.
Eastburg shot 509 on the day led by Aaron Kasperski’s 97.
Earlier this season the Kids picked up three wins in a quad match with Freedom, Becahi and Pocono West. The Kids shot 378 led again by Strohl (71) and Pychinka (72).
Bleiler shot 76, Corbin Miller had a 79 and Gabe Gower had an 80.
Freedom’s Eric Gerger had a 78 and Becahi Zach Ostrosky shot 84. Pocono’s Ryan Kaulfers carded 79.
Northampton shot a 390 to open its season with wins over Emmaus, Pocono East and Pleasant Valley.
Pychinka shot 72 and Strohl shot 73.
Bleiler had an 80, Moyer an 81 and Gower had 84.

The NHS boys soccer team earned a 4-0 win over Allen Tuesday.
The Kids scored a first half goal before adding three more in the second half to put the game away.
Sebastian Mello’s penalty kick goal got the scoring started. Mello is off to a great start this season and would score the team’s fourth goal as well. Mello now has three goals and five assists in his first two games.
Chase Nederostek made it 2-0 on an Aaron Gutkowski pass and Luca Manino’s goal off a Nederostek assist made it 3-0. Nederostek picked up another helper on Mello’s final goal.
Ryan Nahf made six saves for to win.
The Kids opened the season with a 9-0 win over Salisbury.

The girls tennis team dropped a 6-1 contest to Emmaus.
Claire Lack picked up a win at three singles in an exciting, close match. Lack fell 6-4 in the opening set but rallied to win 7-6 (7-5 tiebreaker) and 7-5.
