A Salisbury Township resident was taken into custody on drug charges when authorities served a search warrant early Aug. 16.
Cory Naquan Johns, 27, of the 2700 block of Honeysuckle Road, was arrested at his home. According to court records dated Aug. 20, Johns was unable to post bail and was placed in Lehigh County Jail.
The Allentown Police Vice and Intelligence unit and the Lehigh County Drug Task Force served the warrant, according to a news release dated Aug. 16 from Allentown police.
According to an affidavit of probable cause submitted by police, authorities served the warrant at approximately 6:10 a.m. Aug. 16.
Items seized at the residence included a loaded AR-15 assault rifle with a drum magazine, two loaded semi-automatic 9 mm handguns, 47 ecstasy pills, 10 grams of crushed ecstasy pills, 20 amphetamine pills, about half a pound of marijuana, a digital scale and $979 cash.
Among charges listed on court documents available online and dated Aug. 20 were two felony counts alleging possession with intent to deliver as well charges of alleged simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
In the criminal complaint, police allege Johns “did knowingly manufacture, deliver or possess with intent to manufacture or deliver methamphetamines” and “did knowingly manufacture, deliver or possess with intent to manufacture or deliver marijuana.”
Items seized at the residence were “taken into custody as evidence,” according to the affidavit of probably cause.
