Casey completed the 22-week staff and command program online from Sept. 11, 2023 to Feb. 25. There were 24 in the class. Casey was presented with a commemorative plaque at the Aug. 22 township board of commissioners’ meeting.

“This is not an easy class to complete,” Sabo said to commissioners. “It’s a lot of extra work at night. It speaks to the dedication of Officer Casey.”

“I want to say, ‘thank you’ to Chief Sabo, the police department and the township,” Casey said.
