Lorraine T. Almazan, 89, of Whitehall and formerly of Catasauqua, died Aug. 18, 2024, in the company of her family. She was the wife of the late Dr. Antonio Almazan.

Born in Minersville, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Frances Witcofski.

She was a 1953 graduate of Minersville High School. She earned a two-year associate degree from Penn State University and completed a one-year internship at Sacred Heart Hospital laboratory.

She worked as a laboratory technologist at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cleveland Clinic and Forest City Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio.

She is survived by a companion, Don Harris; two sons, Dr. Anthony and wife Erin of Dayton, Ohio, and Michael of Whitehall; a daughter, Judith Almazan Stuhmer and husband Jeff of Seattle, Wash.; and five grandchildren, Michael, Sarah, Bridget, Jude and Adam.

She was predeceased by a son, Bob.

A private celebration of life will be held.
