Leroy H. Sollenberger
Leroy H. Sollenberger, 79, of Breinigsville, died Aug. 21, 2024, at Arden Courts after a difficult journey with Alzheimer’s dementia. He was the husband of Mary Jane (Faus) Sollenberger for 57 years in May. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late J. Ivan and Emma (Huber) Sollenberger.
He was a graduate of the Solanco High School, Class of 1963. He received an associate degree in accounting from Churchman’s Business School, Easton.
He was employed by Hackman’s Bible Book Store and Air Products before starting his own financial planning firm in 1984. He was later joined by his children and continued working until he retired.
He was a faithful member of Faith Church, Trexlertown.
He enjoyed camping and never lost his love of farming or his cherished John Deere tractor.
He loved helping people and founded the men’s “Do Nothing” breakfast. His greatest joy was watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Wendy S. David and her husband, Anthony, of Breinigsville; son, Andrew T. and his wife, Mary, of Macungie; grandchildren, Alyssa (Gary), Tyler (Brittany), Steven (Kodi), Jacob, Sofia; great-grandchildren, Lylah, Connor, Hayden, Mackenzie, Kolter; siblings, Glenn and his wife, Lois, of Shippensburg, Doris Dellinger, of York; Esther Zimmerman and her husband, Roy, of Lititz; sisters-in-laws, Maddie, of Lititz, Betty, of Quarryville. He was predeceased by brothers, Wilbur and Parke.
