Whitehall-Coplay School District will be closed Aug. 30-Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday.

Zephyr Elementary School will hold its meet the teacher night 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 5. Parents/guardians will have the opportunity to meet Zephyr staff, visit the child’s classroom and shop at the Whitehall-Coplay PTO PLUS book fair.

To protect against accidental damage of student Chromebooks, WCSD will offer a $15 voluntary technology fee for the 2024-25 school year. The window to pay the technology fee is open through Sept. 16.

The coverage period runs from the date of payment to June 30, 2025. The technology fee may be paid online using MySchoolBucks or by making a cash payment in the main office.

WCSD has adopted a new K-12 student handbook. This is helpful for families that have multiple students in the district. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with this important resource.

WCSD is excited to share the WCSD mobile app is available for download. Visit the app store on your mobile device and search “WCSD Zephyrs.” You can find the following information in the app: customized news, calendar, school, notifications, lunch menus and more.

Also coming soon is a mobile app direct integration with PowerSchool (grade book, attendance information, etc.) and Traversa (transportation information).

Parents/guardians should have received a letter this summer that will remind them to go online and update their child’s information. This will include all phone numbers, emergency contacts and numbers, email addresses, text numbers and permission for field trips and photos for the 2024-25 school year.

Please read the information carefully and update your child’s information. Once the update is complete and correct, press the seal button.

PowerSchool has been open since Aug. 12. Instructions were mailed home to parents/guardians with instructions on how to access the site, but if you need help accessing PowerSchool, contact your child’s school.
