Contance “Connie” R. Davis, 73, of Fogelsville, died Aug. 14, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Donald W. Davis.

Born in Coplay, she was the daughter of the late Hedy M. J. (Hocht) and Anthony J. Gartner.

She was a 1968 graduate of Whitehall High School and a 1972 graduate of Kutztown State College.

She taught second and fourth grades with the Whitehall-Coplay School District for 15 years.

She was a member of United Church of Christ Congregation of Ziegels Church where she served on consistory and in a variety of leadership roles. Most recently, she became engaged with Vine Calvary Chapel.

She was involved with Order of the Eastern Star, Weisenberg/Lowhill Township Historical Society and the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by a son, Chad W. and wife Allison of Fogelsville; two granddaughters, Hallie and Emory; nieces and nephews; a brother, Richard O. Gartner and wife Mary; and a stepmother, Joanne M. Gartner.

She was predeceased by a brother, James A. Gartner.
