C3P distributes school supplies

Catasauqua Community Cares Program held a school supplies distribution Aug. 14 to help Catasauqua Area School District students prepare for the new academic year.

To make this distribution possible, Whitehall Area Rotary Club donated $500 for C3P to purchase school supplies. Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church donated supplies to the cause. C3P coordinator Lois Reed also reported Feed the Children and Walmart donations helped fill out the effort.

Thanks to the generosity of these organizations, C3P was able to distribute 95 backpacks and fulfill 65 elementary and middle school supplies lists in their entirety.

Greta Mast, of the Whitehall Area Rotary Club Foundation board, attended the distribution.
