Barry L. Molnar, 72, of Whitehall, formerly of Allentown, died Aug. 20, 2024, with family by his side at Heather Glen Senior Living, Allentown. He was the husband of Penny L. (McCandless) Molnar for 51 years this past June. Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late John Molnar Sr. and the late Dorothy (Kohler) Molnar.

He was a 1969 graduate of Northampton Senior High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, in 1973. In 1978 he achieved his MBA from George Mason University, Fairfax, Va.

He was last employed at Air Products & Chemical Corp., Allentown, where he worked for 27 years, retiring in 2009. Previously, he was an auditor for nine years with the General Accountability Office in Washington, D.C.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Emily A. and her husband, John Cupples, of Coopersburg, Anne E. and her husband, Jeffrey Bauder, of Slatington; grandchildren, Hailey and Connor, Mason and Alice. He was predeceased by a brother, John Jr. in 2022.
