St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church member
Anna C. Kalkiewicz, 87, formerly of Allentown, died Aug. 22, 2024, while a guest at Whitehall Manor.
Born in New Boston, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late Constantine J. and Anna S. (Michaels) Kalkiewicz.
She was a secretary for Bell Telephone for more than 35 years, retiring in 1992.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Whitehall.
She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and volunteered as a nurse’s assistant in Philadelphia.
She is survived by three sisters, Patti Sheehan and husband Robert, with whom she resided in Whitehall, Georgette Pester of Quakake and Barbara Kurtz of Trappe; two brothers, Thomas of Winfield Park, N.J., and Robert and wife Margaret of Mahanoy City; nieces; nephews; and extended family.
She was predeceased by a brother, Jerome; a sister-in-law, Kathleen; and two brothers-in-law, John and James.
Arrangements were made by Gilbert Funeral Home, Whitehall.
