The Bethlehem Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 2100 block of Easton Avenue around 8:20 p.m. Aug. 19. Upon arrival, crews quickly contained the fire to one apartment. There was one tenant in the apartment at the time of the fire. That tenant was able to get out of the apartment with the assistance of a neighbor. The tenant was then assisted by EMS and transported to the hospital.
Bethlehem fire EMS and police departments were assisted by Nancy Run Fire Company, which provided rehab, lighting and cascade air services.
The cause of this fire is currently under investigation by the fire marshal’s Office.
