This academic year’s first special board meeting was needed Aug. 12 for directors to approve the Notice of Public Hearing advertising the Act 34 Hearing scheduled for Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. in the Broughal MS auditorium. Secondly, they needed to approve the Act 34 Resolution, authorizing a Fountain Hill ES maximum project cost of $62 million and a maximum building construction cost of $34.8 million. Both measure passed.

Previously discussed Curriculum Committee items including service agreements; Facility Committee items including the purchase of new electric buses and bleachers for Freedom HS; Finance Committee items such as classroom charging hubs, renewal of Zoom, tax exonerations; and lastly the Human Resource Committee topics, including university agreements, which were on the agenda for the Aug. 26 regular board meeting.
