Alfred “Butch” J. Weber, 62, of Northampton, died Aug. 16, 2024, at his residence.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Alfred J. and Ann M. (Bobyak) Weber.

He was a 1979 graduate of Northampton Area High School.

He was last employed by Lowe’s Home Improvements, Whitehall, for the past 15 years as a night-shift inventory stocker.

He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Northampton.

He was a longtime member of the noted “chain gang” of Northampton, assisting with the chains for many of the high school football games.

He is survived by a son, Joseph B.; a daughter, Kristen A.; a sister, Andrea and husband Joseph Ossiander; a brother, Anthony J. and wife Dawn; a grandson, Jordan; and nieces and nephews.

There will be a calling time 9-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service 11 a.m., Aug. 23 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton.
