Trevor Brady Shaffer

Trevor Brady Shaffer, 28, from Kempton, died on Aug. 11, 2024, in Albany Township.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of Chilton V. Shaffer of Kempton, and Michele L. (Obyle) Shaffer of Dauphin.

A 2014 graduate of the Kutztown Area High School, he later attended Bloomsburg University with a focus in business finance.

He last worked as a wire assembler at East Penn Manufacturing, Kutztown.

An avid motocross racer, at the early age of 5, he raced in numerous events and made many friends along the way.

In 2007, he achieved a national title by competing at the AMA National Arenacross Series in Las Vegas.

He also enjoyed snowboarding and, recently, began to enjoy golfing, especially with his two brothers.

In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by brothers, Zakary S. and Carson H. Shaffer, both of Dauphin; paternal grandfather Michael V. Shaffer of Missoula, Mont.; maternal grandmother Sarah A. Heck of Hamburg, and her companion, Douglas Potteiger; uncle, Jason Heck, of Hamburg; aunt, Amber Shaffer and husband, Robert Rasmussen, of Missoula; aunt, Lanette C. Shaffer, and husband, Martin Kovach of Schnecksville.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Arlene Shaffer; and maternal great-grandparents, Ralph J. and Sarah C. Obyle.

There will be a celebration of life service 11 a.m. Sept. 21 at the Kempton Rod and Gun Club, 192 Pine Creek Road, Kempton. Calling hour will begin at 10 a.m.

Interment following service in New Bethel Union Cemetery, Kempton. The Rev. James W. LeVan will officiate.
