Theresa Beckel, 81, of (Egypt) Whitehall, died Aug. 16, 2024, at the home of her son, Timothy W. Beckel of Schnecksville.

The wife of the late Timothy S. Beckel, the couple was married 49 years.

Born March 14, 1943, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Theresa R. (Weber) Horwith.

The beating heart of her family, she was a wonderful mother, grandmother and wife.

There was nothing more important to her than spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Her love and selflessness will be missed.

Her survivors include a son Timothy W. Beckel and his wife, Rochelle, of Schnecksville; grandsons Alexander T. Beckel and Graham Paul; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Cheryl Ann (Beckel) Paul; and siblings Rose and Mary Hock, Stella Hartzell, Dorothy Rogers, Anna Weslosky, Helen Bednar, Louis, Charles, John, Edward, Joseph, William and Frank Horwith.

A private funeral service will be held at Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dr. J. Bradley Roth officiating.

There will be no public calling hours.

Interment will follow the service at Garden of Peace Cemetery, Whitehall.
