Raymond W. Kamp, 58, of Kempton, died peacefully Aug. 18, 2024, with his loving wife by his side, at home.

He and his wife, Mary E. (Moore) Kamp, celebrated 28 years of marriage in April.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of Myrna E. (Fronheiser) Kamp of Topton, and the late George P. Kamp.

A 1984 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, he was a heavy equipment operator for Albany Township, and later for Maxatawny Township, until retirement.

He was a member of the East Coast 4X4 Rough Riders Association, the Kempton Rod and Gun Club, Kempton Community Center, Gettysburg Civil War Association, and the Blue Mountain Weiner Roasters Club.

He loved his trips to Disney World with his wife.

He was known for his kind heart and great sense of humor.

In addition to his devoted wife, and loving mother, he is survived by his nephew David Gricoski of Ash, N.C.; niece Rachel Gricoski of Schuylkill Haven; great-niece Ripley Metz of Schuylkill Haven; several cousins, including Denise Beltzner and family; and his beloved emotional support dogs Minnie and CoCo.

A public graveside funeral service will be 11 a.m. Aug. 24, at New Bethel Union Cemetery, 135 New Bethel Church Road, Kempton.

The Rev. Stanley Newton and Rory Schlenker will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, to help offset his final expenses, contributions may be made to Nester Funeral Home Inc, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, PA.
