Our dogs Daisy and Lizzy have been fearless rabbit chasers and hunters. Over the years, the bunnies learned our yard was not a safe haven. However, as our dogs have aged, their speed and aggression have dropped off, especially since Daisy became a tripod last October, and the rabbits have become bolder with their presence. One day, Matt noticed a rabbit at the back of our yard. Daisy was laying in the grass near the back door, seemingly oblivious to the brazen rabbit. Matt moved to the back door to let Lizzy out to chase the rabbit. That was when he realized that Daisy was slowly creeping up the hill toward the bunny who was unaware of Daisy’s stealth maneuver. Matt opened the door and Daisy went tearing after the rabbit who narrowly escaped through the fence slats. Daisy’s motto: Work smarter, not harder!
