Janine F. Keppel

attended Wilma Boyd Career School

Janine F. Keppel, 62, of Laurys Station, died peacefully July 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at home.

She and her husband, Michael J., celebrated 42 years of marriage together.

Born Sept. 28, 1961, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Ralph C. Jr. and Betty Jane (Wasser) Frederick.

After high school, she attended Wilma Boyd Career School, and then worked as an information operator at Greyhound, where she met the love of her life, husband Michael.

After many years as a dedicated and loving stay-at-home mother, she went on to work at Trans-Bridge in ticket sales for a period of time.

She had many passions in life, but none ran deeper than her love for family, friends and trips to the sunny beach in Avalon.

A truly selfless, compassionate woman, always willing to help her friends or family when in need, she will be best remembered as “Nana,” the amazing grandmother who spent the last decade of her life dedicated to spending time with her five, beautiful grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Adam and wife, Stacie, Nicholas and wife, Autumn, and David and wife, Sonja; grandchildren Audrey, Charlie, Garrett, Lorelei and Emmett; and brother Randy and companion, Barb.

She was predeceased by her brother, Jeffrey.

A celebration of her life, 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 28 in Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton, will be concluded by a prayer service.

Interment will be private.

Condolences may be offered at reichelfuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to an animal shelter of one’s choice in her memory.
