Whitehall Township Public Library: Zoellner Arts to present Sept. 5 bilingual storytime
Zoellner Arts will present a storytime with a bilingual theme for toddlers to first-graders 11 a.m. Sept. 5 at Whitehall Township Public Library.

The library will host a yoga-themed storytime, presented by Lovely Little Lotus.
Youth ages 6-10 will meet 5 p.m. Sept. 9, and tots ages 2-5 meet 10 a.m. Sept. 12.

Creation Station: Rock Night is set for 6 p.m. Sept. 18. Kids in grades 3-6 can learn about different rock types.

The Five Wishes: End of Life Planning workshop is planned for 6 p.m. Sept. 24, led by Carole Silvoy, INELDA-trained end of life doula.
Five Wishes creates advanced care directives for not only the legal and medical issues, but also how we’d like to be treated, what we’d like to be around us when dying, what our legacy will be and how we are remembered.

Join Laura Long, vice president of independent living at Fellowship Community, and Cathy Bogardo, financial counselor at Fellowship Community, 3 p.m. Sept. 25 as they discuss the difference between independent living, personal care and a skilled nursing home.
The discussion will include what Medicaid covers and the difference between Medicaid and Medicare. This presentation is designed to give you valuable information regarding retirement options.

The library has a number of clubs that meet monthly.
The book club for adults meets 1 p.m. the first Thursday of every month. Come discuss what you’re currently reading.
The coloring club for adults meets 11 a.m. the first and third Thursdays and 5:30-7:30 p.m. the first Tuesday.
The Good Yarn group meets for knitting, crocheting and other needle crafts 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month.
Teens interested in volunteering can join the Teen Advisory Board. Meetings are 1:30 p.m. one Saturday a month.

The library is accepting lightly used books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles and games for the September book sale. We can accept three bags or boxes at a time.
We prefer to keep donations in their original bags or boxes, so please transport them in bags and boxes you do not want back.
Do not bring VHS tapes, cassettes, magazines, encyclopedias or text books.

Plant-a-Row donation drop-offs continue 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays. The library will accept fresh produce to go to local families in need.
