Welcome back, staff, students and parents/guardians!

Sheckler Elementary School’s principal is Dr. Robert Kucharczuk, and the assistant principal is Sarah Auletta. They have uploaded a welcome back letter on the school website with information related to student classroom assignments, required beginning-of-the-year forms and other important items. Be sure to check it out!

Parents/guardians should complete the online PowerSchool forms for accurate and up-to-date information about their child.

To complete the forms, log in to PowerSchool and find the forms section. Follow each prompt and fill in the necessary information.

You can also opt-in for SMS text message notifications by texting 67587 from your mobile phone for updates on news, events, weather delays, closures and emergencies.

Students listed as parent pickup must be signed out by a parent/guardian in the Sheckler cafeteria at dismissal. Parents/guardians will enter the building by the kindergarten/first-grade entrance doors 3:10 p.m. and proceed to the cafeteria.

All families must complete a Sheckler release/pickup form found on the school website.

Sheckler Elementary begins the new academic year Aug. 26.

The school day will run 8:45 a.m.-3:10 p.m., and students are expected to be in their homerooms by 9 a.m.

A complete list of supplies per grade can be found on Sheckler’s website under the letter.

Student iPads will remain in school and will not go home with students during the 2024-25 school year. iPads will continue to be used to enhance the educational practices within the school setting during the day.

Catasauqua Area School District will be closed Aug. 30-Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday. Students will resume their normal schedules Sept. 3.
