Fullerton: St. John’s UCC holding nut, fruit sale; deadline is Aug. 25

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., is having its annual nut and fruit sale during August. The deadline for orders and payment is Aug. 25.

Choose from pecan halves, deluxe mixed nuts, whole cashews, nut and fruit mix, dark chocolate cranberries, chocolate bridge mix, harvest medley mix, malted milk balls, milk chocolate raisins and sweet and salty trail mix. Something new is honey-roasted cashews.

Order forms, prices and a description of each item can be found in the August newsletter, on the church website and on the table in the lounge area.

Checks should be made payable to the church.

A drive-by pickup will be in mid-November and/or before and after worship.

St. John’s will be helping Whitehall Food Pantry for the month of August by collecting pancake mix, pancake syrup, peanut butter, jelly, pasta, canned carrots, canned potatoes, canned tuna, coffee and cereal. Any other nonperishable food items and monetary contributions are always accepted and welcome.

A shopping cart for your donations can be found in the coatroom area by the sanctuary.

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., will hold bingo 1 p.m. Aug. 25; doors open noon. Bingo will continue with tricky tray, 50/25/25 raffle, piggy number, lightning game and more. Remember, the community center has increased its cash prize payouts.

There will be refreshments available for purchase.

Bring a nonperishable food item for Whitehall Food Pantry.

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., will be having aerobics with Karen Hoff as part of the wellness program.

Beginner aerobics will be held 5:30-6 p.m. Tuesdays Sept. 3-Oct. 29 for anyone 13 years of age and older. There is also a low-impact aerobic class after the beginner class 6:15-7 p.m. Sept. 3-Nov. 12.

There will be no classes Sept. 17.

The registration deadline for these classes is Sept. 1 or until the maximum number of participants is reached.
