Library offering programs for kids, teens, adults

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, will present its Cardmaking with Sending Sunshine program for teens ages 12-18 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 16.

Earn volunteer hours making cards for seniors.

Adults, join library staff for their monthly Fiber Art Sit and Sewing session 9-12:30 p.m. Aug. 17.

Come along and socialize, ask for advice, or whatever else you might need.

Don’t forget to bring your sewing machine (or hand-sewing materials), fabric, notions, your cord, and enthusiasm for sewing.

The library will provide a cutting mat, iron, and an ironing board.

Registration is encouraged to reserve access to an outlet.

Drop-ins are also welcome to attend.

Yoga instructor Larissa Noto with The Lovely Little Lotus will offer Yoga Story Time for kids ages 3-8 from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 19.

A Teens Dungeon and Dragon Night for kids in grades seven through 12 will take place 6-8 p.m. Aug. 19.

The library’s Full Moon Night Frights for kids ages 6-11 will take place 6:30-7 p.m. Aug. 19.

Library staff will introduce participants to the Night Frights series by Joe McGee.

Sensory Bin Fun for kids ages 5 and younger will take place 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Aug. 20.

Different sensory experiences will be available.

Idea Lab for adults interested in exploring new ideas and creating something unique will take place 1-4 p.m. on Aug. 20.

Book Club will meet to discuss the novel “Great Believers,” by Rebeccah Makkai, from 7-8 p.m. Aug. 20.

Garden Club, an intergenerational gardening club for kids and adults, will meet 5-6 p.m. on Aug. 21 and 28.

Learn about gardening centered around the community garden on the premises.

Teen Drawing Club for students in grades five through 10 will take place from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 21.

Drawing materials and snacks will be provided.

Coloring Club for Adults will meet 2-4 p.m. Aug. 22 and 29.

Spend an afternoon coloring.

Yarn lovers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to attend the Not Just Knitting group from 2-4 p.m. Aug. 22 and 29.

Bring your materials for an afternoon of knitting with friends and swapping tips.
