A gastronomic feast offered at Dinner on Main, Kutztown

Main Street in Kutztown was filled with area residents enjoying good eats, music and camaraderie on Aug. 2 as part of Dinner on Main.
The event, hosted by the Kutztown Community Partnership, introduced visitors to the restaurants on Main Street.
Additionally, wineries, food trucks, commercial vendors joined in the celebration bringing hundreds of people to downtown Kutztown.
Local restaurants took over the 200 block of Main Street to showcase their best small menu offerings while live music entertained visitors.
Proceeds from the event will be reinvested in the downtown community for marketing, event production, environmental initiatives, and community programs.
Junior’s Grades, a four-piece rock ’n’ roll cover band entertained, and food vendors including K’town Pub, Spuds, Clover Hill Winery, Eight Oaks Farm Distillery, The Cottage Bakery and Cafe, Spanish Soul, Betty’s, Oomie Zoomie, Pop’s Malt Shoppe, and Gringos Locos Tacos satisfied the hungry.
The Strand Theatre, Kutztown, hosted a raffle featuring movie posters and passes donated by Dorney Park, Miller Symphony Hall and Chipotle.
In addition, to support the theater, there was artwork available for purchase by photographer Emma Ketterer.
Fifty percent of the proceeds will go to the Strand Renovation Project.
The Local Folk Creative Studio provided activities for everyone.
