John P. Hertzog, 95, of Northampton, died Aug. 4, 2024, in the inpatient hospice unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Rose (Kochenash) Hertzog.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Joon) Hertzog.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He worked for the former Coplay Cement Company for many years.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.

He is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Breslin and Barbara Weigard and husband Gregory; a son, Thomas and wife Susan; two grandchildren, Aaron and Jenna; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by four brothers; and three sisters.
