Tyler Pipe Co. truck driver
Eugene P. “Stu” Stump, 79, of Macungie, died Aug. 2, 2024, in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Mary (Hamm) Stump for 55 years. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Elda M. (Stump) VanValkenburg.
He worked as a truck driver for Tyler Pipe Co., Macungie. He had a love for trucks, especially Kenworth and his Bigfoot monster truck. He loved his 1973 and 1979 Ford pickup trucks.
He enjoyed watching western movies and when he was younger he enjoyed riding motorcycles. He also enjoyed working outside around the house.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Corinna and her fiancé, Richard Schaffer, Tammy Hovan and her husband, Reggie; grandchildren, Brandon, Hunter, Melanie, Reggie, Tori; great-grandchild, Silas; brother, Larry Ruppert (Patti); sisters, Joan, Mary. He was predeceased by brothers, Ronald, Donald, Joseph; sister, Linda Bowers (Wayne Leinbach).
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
