Celebration of Ministry Sunday was a joyful day at Blessed Trinity Lutheran Church at Rosemont June 23 during the morning service and an ensuing Celebration Picnic on the front lawn.
Blessed Trinity Lutheran Church at Rosemont was formed by the December 2023 merger of the former Rosemont Lutheran Church and Blessed Trinity Lutheran Churches at the Rosemont site.
The Rev. Jack Steltzer, pastor of the former Rosemont Lutheran, was officially received as pastor of the merged parish during the June 23 service, which celebrated the ministries of the church.
“It’s a celebration of not just the opening of a new church, but the unfolding of a new chapter in Blessed Trinity Lutheran Church at Rosemont’s combined community’s journey of faith, where each ministry is a testament to our shared commitment to God and the power of the collective spirit,” Pastor Steltzer said in capturing the spirit of celebrating ministries at a new church.
“The Celebration of Ministries at Blessed Trinity Lutheran Church at Rosemont gives us a chance as a church community to celebrate the many different and new ministries and to thank God for his many blessings,” said Mark Suter, director of music ministry.
The “Parade of Projects” – ministries celebrated at Blessed Trinity Lutheran Church at Rosemont – include Home Communion Delivery to homebound, hospitals and nursing homes; Irene Todd Scholarship Committee; bingo fundraisers for local charities: Essentials Café; Bethlehem/Murska Sobata Sister Cities Association; Worship and Music Committee; “God’s Work. Our Hands” collections; Sunday Worship Volunteers; and outdoor beautification, such as flower planting and care, spring clean up and holiday decorations.
