The Parkland Garden Club will meet 7 p.m. Aug. 12 at Jordan Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Road, Orefield.

Doors open 6:30 p.m. for socialization and refreshments.

Randy Wenhold, past president of the Parkland Garden Club, will present a program on the types of American glass, as well as the development and the importance of American glass making in the industrialization of America.

Wenhold, who has a degree in American history and economics, is a collector of antique American glassware.
