Celebrations for the end of summer reading will soon be here at Whitehall Township Public Library.

Kids can celebrate with games, snacks, face painting, balloon art and more from noon to 2 p.m. Aug. 10. There will be a visit from Mini Moos, set for 12:30-1:30 p.m.

Kids can pick up grand prizes at this event.

Adults, celebrate your accomplishments 1 p.m. Aug. 1 with book-related activities, prizes and snacks.

No registration is required for either event.

Death Cafe, a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes, is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Aug. 19. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session.

No registration is required.

Creation Station: Bubble-ology is planned for 6 p.m. Aug. 21. Kids will learn about molecules by doing experiments with bubbles. Kids in grades 3-6 can enjoy STEAM projects once a month.

The library has a number of clubs that meet monthly.

The book club for adults meets 1 p.m. the first Thursday of every month. Come discuss what you’re currently reading.

The coloring club for adults meets 11 a.m. the first and third Thursdays and 5:30-7:30 p.m. the first Tuesday.

The Good Yarn group meets for knitting, crocheting and other needle crafts 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month.

Teens interested in volunteering can join the Teen Advisory Board. Meetings are 1:30 p.m. one Saturday a month. Check our calendar for dates.

The library is accepting lightly used books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles and games for the September book sale. We can accept three bags or boxes at a time.

We prefer to keep donations in their original bags or boxes, so please transport them in bags and boxes you do not want back.

Do not bring VHS tapes, cassettes, magazines, encyclopedias or text books.

Plant-a-Row donation drop-offs continue 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays. The library will accept fresh produce to go to local families in need.

The library is open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
