A 50-year-old male, of Allentown, allegedly was driving under the influence in the 5500 block of Stonecroft Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 11:07 p.m. July 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Retail theft
Two 18-year-old males, of Allentown and a juvenile male allegedly removed computer equipment, including a headset used in gaming, with a total value of $572.37, from retailer Target, 749 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:59 p.m. July 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The suspects fled the store and entered nearby Dick’s Sporting Goods, 707 N. Krocks Road, Suite 101, where they were detained until taken into custody, according to authorities.
Accident
A 58-year-old motorist, of Pottstown, was not hurt when she fell asleep while driving in the 3700 block of Limeport Pike, Lower Milford Township and crashed into a fence and a tree near a residence 5:22 a.m. July 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was towed from the crash scene, according to authorities. Mechanics Plus Towing also responded.
Theft by deception
A resident of Main Road East, Upper Milford Township, learned a check was taken, altered and cashed for $768.46, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported July 19.
A resident of Schantz Road, Upper Milford Township, learned a check was taken and altered, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The bank did not honor the altered check, according to authorities. The incident was reported July 17.
Wire fraud
A resident of Benjamin Court, Upper Milford Township, was swindled out of $62,115 in a series of digital currency transactions between Oct. 23, 2023 and April 4, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The resident was contacted online by a person masquerading as an expert cryptocurrency investor/entrepreneur who convinced the resident to invest in digital currency. When the resident attempted to access his investments he learned all of the money was gone. The situation was reported to state police July 15.
Harassment
A resident of Main Road West, Upper Milford Township, received unwanted phone calls from an ex-boyfriend after he was warned to stop calling, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported July 21.
Theft
A resident of Hauser Road, Lower Macungie Township, learned packages containing items valued at $78.54 were removed after being delivered to the residence July 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported July 19.
