Henrietta L. (Markle) Klocek, 96, of Allentown, died peacefully in the skilled nursing facility of Cedar Crest Post Acute, Aug. 2, 2024, surrounded by her son and daughter-in-law. She was the wife of the late John P. Klocek for 16 years at the time of his death in 1972. Born in Alburtis, she was the daughter of the late Howard Markle and Etta (Kenyon) Markle.

She was a 1947 graduate of Allentown High School and was a teacher’s aide for many years in the Allentown School District and later was an associate teacher for more than 20 years at Lehigh Valley Child Care. She believed in the importance of early learning and how it played a crucial role in the development of young children.

She is survived by sons, Thomas and his wife, Pamela, Richard and his wife, Debbie, John and his wife, Diane; grandchildren, Jason, John, Michael, Amber, Jeffrey; great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four sisters and two brothers.
