Play Ball! Join the Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley as an “angel in the outfield” and assist children and adults with disabilities in batting and rounding the bases at our state-of-the-art field in Schnecksville. Opportunities for individuals and groups (up to 20) available. We play eight weeks of baseball from August 23 through October 19. Every year, Third Street Alliance, Easton, provides backpacks filled with school supplies for more than 500 Easton-area children. Volunteers are needed 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on August 19 for event logistics like directions, foot traffic control, handing out back packs, and handing out water & snacks. If you’re ready to go with the flow, join Wildlands Conservancy to maintain vegetative areas along streams (riparian buffers) and help ensure the survival of young, native trees in the forest buffer. These vital areas improve water quality in local communities, reduce erosion and flooding concerns, and provide habitat for wildlife. Volunteers will maintain tubes placed over the trees to protect them from deer and remove invasive vegetation. Minimum age 16 with adult.
