Family celebrates 101st birthday
Edna Spevak, nee Zamadics, turned 101 years old on July 27. To celebrate this milestone, a family luncheon was held at the Piper Tavern, Pipersville.
Edna resides at Sterling Heights Bethlehem, where she enjoys exercising, playing bingo and other activities offered. She also likes to read poetry, play dominoes and is an avid Phillies fan.
Allan heads St. Luke’s pediatric unit
Born and raised in the Lehigh Valley, Adnan Allan, DO, has been selected as the Division Chief of the Inpatient Pediatric Unit at St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital.
Before Dr. Allan started working at St. Luke’s, he attended Penn State University as an undergraduate.
After Penn State he attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school. He did his residency at Geisinger Children’s Hospital.
In this new position, Dr. Allan will be involved in the growth and development of the program and responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative functions of the unit.
Outside of the pediatrics floor, Dr. Allan enjoys staying active and exercising so he can keep up with his patients! He also has a creative side and likes to draw and read comic books.
