Marie Louise Bolcar, 87, of Bethlehem, died July 26, 2024, at home. Born in Lanark, she was a daughter of the late John and Louetta (Franket) de Jong. She was the wife of Joseph M. Bolcar for 63 years.
She was a Fountain Hill H.S. graduate.
She was a production department executive secretary of Bethlehem Steel for 17 years. She then was a secretary for Saints Simon & Jude R.C. Church, Esten Paving and Lutron Electronics.
She was the “Noodle Lady” and a cook and decorator for many events at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, Bethlehem, and made hand-quilted placemats.
She served in various officer roles of the Parent Teacher Association and the Catholic Youth Organization. She was a chairwoman of the St. Francis Academy flea market for several years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Tanya Korpics and husband Richard and Milissa Bolcar; two grandsons, Ivan Korpics and Jozef Korpics; and four sisters, Constance Grof, Sara Dunlap, Joann Werkheiser and Louetta Cressman.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Jeanne Reiss, Nancy de Jong and Patricia Neubauer.
