Moore Township: UCC, Little Moore, to hold cash bingo Aug. 9

Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, 913 S. Mink Road, Danielsville, is planning a walk-in cash bingo Aug. 9 in the social hall. Doors open 5:30 p.m., and bingo starts 7 p.m.

Admission includes two game boards and three special games. There is a cost for additional boards.

Come early as seating is limited. The kitchen will be open.

Moore Township Land and Environmental Protection Board next meets Aug. 12. Meetings are held 7 p.m. at the township recreation center, 635 English Road. Consider joining this board as it labors to preserve the township’s rural character.

There is a vacancy. Interested residents should call the township office for information.

Moore Township Recreation Committee’s next meeting is planned for 7 p.m. Aug. 15 at the municipal building, 2491 Community Drive. The committee’s goals are to assist township children and families.

The committee is providing an opportunity to purchase a brick for the veteran memorial at the recreation center. Visit donate.brickmarkers.com/moore to donate or for information how to order a memorial brick.

The Community Days committee is working to plan this year’s event in August.

Bingo is held 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive. Doors open 5 p.m.

The night includes prizes, progressive jackpot, rob the piggy bank and wash line bingo.

Moore Township is implementing a new committee — Americans With Disabilities Act Committee. The three members will serve one-year terms.
