Registration opens Aug. 1 for a special pigeon storytime and craft 10:30 a.m. Aug. 9 at Coplay Public Library, 49 S. Fifth St. Space is limited, so make sure to reserve your spot early.

Come to the library Saturday mornings to watch movies. They start 11 a.m. Feel free to bring your own snacks and blankets to make yourself comfortable.

The movie schedule includes “Cool Runnings” Aug. 3 and “The Book of Life” Aug. 10.

The summer reading program — Adventure Begins at Your Library — ends Aug. 10. Each week has a different adventure theme, such as go for the gold and explore library genres.

Register at coplaypubliclibrary.beanstack.com and fill out the form. You can register as an individual or a family. If you have used Beanstack before, just sign in and register for the all ages reading and activity challenges. To track your reading and activities, click on log reading and activities.

Once you start reading, you can collect raffle tickets for reaching reading levels and doing activities. You could be a lucky winner of a gift basket!

Adults and families can also join the passport program. This program encourages adult patrons and families to visit other LCLC libraries. You can win a special passport basket at each library. If you visit six libraries, you will be entered into a grand-prize drawing for an iPad.

Stop by and see the special reading program decorations. Kid, teen, adult and family gift baskets are also on display.

Teens and adults, the Fiber Arts and Friends group meets 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays. Learn to crochet, knit and more. All skill levels are welcome!

Bring your current project or start a new one. We have extra yarn and knitting/crochet needles for you to use if needed.
