Barry E. Bertsch

volunteered at Parkland CARES Food Pantry

Barry E. Bertsch, 68, of Weisenberg Township, died July 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He and his wife, Denise A. (Schweikert) Bertsch, were married 47 years.

Born March 26, 1956, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Raymond A. and Marion H. (DeLong) Bertsch.

A sales representative at Wurth USA for 30 years before retiring in 2019, he was a volunteer at the Parkland CARES Food Pantry.

When he wasn’t busy volunteering, he greatly enjoyed spending time with his wife.

They loved traveling around the world, playing cards with their friends and staying active on the pickleball court.

An avid fan of the Phillies and Eagles, he could often be heard yelling at the TV while watching their games.

He had a big smile and an even bigger heart.

He loved making others laugh with his jokes.

He will always be remembered for his positive outlook on life, his love for socializing and his ability to talk to anyone.

He will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son, Matthew J. Bertsch and his fiancée, Keira, of Allentown; daughter Tara N. Kleckner and her husband, Tim, of Allentown; sister Sandra L. Sarko of Bethlehem; brother Scott R. Bertsch and his wife, Patricia, of Schnecksville; grandchildren Jonas, Nathan and Mackenzie.

A celebration of his life will take place at a future date.
