Joseph Angelo DeLeva, 50, of Salisbury Township, died after a long battle with uveal melanoma on July 2, 2024. Born in Staten Island, he was a son of the late Charles and Adele (Cinti) Deleva. He was the husband of Sharlene (Melendez) DeLeva for 13 years.

He graduated from East Stroudsburg University, where he earned bachelor’s degree in education.

He was in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

He worked in sales and marketing.

He was a member of St. Ursula’s R.C. Church, Bethlehem.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Naomi Leigh Melendez, at home; a brother, Charles C. DeLeva and his wife Traci of Brodheadsville; relatives; friends; and extended family.

Contributions may be made to the family to help defray medical and financial expenses.
