Stingray boys knock off Bethlehem Tides
The Hanover Stingrays and Bethlehem Tides summer swim teams went head-to-head in a Christmas City battle of the Suburban Swim League of the Lehigh Valley on June 11 at Hanover Pool.
The Stingrays prevailed, 336-251, in the final meet of the regular season.
Winners in boys relays were Hanover’s Landon Black, Luke Estrella, Ben Hartenstine, Roman Pacheco 1 in Boys 8 & Under 100 (1:20.69), Hanover’s Kohen Greb, Dominic Pellegrino, Nathan Nguyen, Harrison Geiger in 9-10 100 medley (1:19.85), Bethlehem’s Logan Lech, Theo Collins, Nate Krakowski, Nolan Samson in 11-12 100 (1:11.86), and Bethlehem’s Leo Negron, Andre Negron, Mario Negron, Giovanni Camaione in 13 & Over 200 medley (1:54.64).
Bethlehem’s Darren Nguyen took first place in the 13-14 50 freestyle (24.70), and Hanover’s David Gabrielle was first in the 15 & Over 50 free (22.47).
First place finishers in breaststroke were Hanover’s Landon Black in 8 & Under 25 (22.31), Bethlehem’s
Maximus Amil in 9-10 25 (19.91), Bethlehem’s Theo Collins in 11-12 50 (41.73), Hanover’s Desmond Murray in 13-14 50 (36.70), and Bethlehem’s Leo Negron in 15 & Over 50 (35.23).
Hanover’s Liam Powers won the 11-12 100IM (1:18.50), Bethlehem’s Darren Nguyen won the 13-14 100 IM (1:04.06), and Hanover’s David Gabrielle came in first in the 15 & Over 100 IM (59.41).
Butterfly winners were Hanover’s Landon Black in 8 & Under 25 (20.82), Bethlehem’s James Krakowski in 9-10 25 (16.54), Hanover’s Liam Powers in 11-12 50 (34.77), Hanover’s Josh Baluta in 13-14 50 (30.52), and Hanover’s David Gabrielle in 15 & Over 50 (25.19).
Top swimmers in backstroke were Hanover’s Landon Black in 8 & Under 25 (21.13), Bethlehem’s
James Krakowski in 9-10 25 (19.56), Hanover’s Liam Powers in 11-12 50 (35.65), Hanover’s
Jonah Korpics in 13-14 50 (33.06), and Hanover’s Andrew Bays in 15 & Over 50 (30.77).
Freestyle winners were Hanover’s Roman Pacheco in 8 & Under 25 (19.27), Bethlehem’s Joseph Black in 9-10 25 (13.81), Bethlehem’s Nolan Samson in 11-12 50 (32.98), Bethlehem’s Darren Nguyen in 13-14 100 (57.06), and Bethlehem’s AJ Black in 15 & Over 100 (55.66).
