Parkland School Board directors approved 2024-25 salaries for the central administration and Act 93 personnel during their June 18 meeting.

Superintendent Dr. Mark Madson will be paid $194,695.

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Michelle Minotti will receive $161,881, and Assistant Superintendent Timothy Chorones will be paid $145,344.

Director of Business Administration Leslie Frisbie will receive $175,006.

The Act 93 category is comprised of 70 administrative professionals who are not a part of the teachers’ contract.

These individuals include school principals and assistant principals and directors of departments and services throughout the district.

Examples are director of human resources, $151,215; director of facilities and operations, $150,380; director of teaching and learning — elementary, $151,456; director of online learning, alternative education, and assessment, $154,770; and the director of district safety, security, and school services, $138,815.

Executive administrative assistants receive $71,208.

In another matter, the board approved a three-year contract extension for the Parkland Education Support Professionals Association.

The group of 715 support staff includes bus drivers, hall monitors, teaching assistants, custodians, cafeteria workers, secretaries, computer technicians and other part-time support staff.

The contract provides an annual increase of 4 percent, and employees will have to contribute more toward their health insurance coverage.

“We are pleased with the contract,” Elizabeth Moyer, president of PESPA, stated. “It is a reflection of the cooperative working environment that our association has with the district as it addresses the concerns of all.”
