The Jess Fin Fest, which took place on Saturday, July 13, in North Catasauqua, was a huge success.
There were 16 sponsors, 36 volleyball teams across the competitive and recreation divisions, and 19 cornhole teams. There were 43 baskets donated for raffle, and over 40 volunteers. The 4th Annual Jess Fin Fest was held in memory of Jess Finlayson, who passed away from brain cancer in 2021.
The Jess Fin Foundation holds the event every year, raising money for brain cancer research and to provide monetary “Jess Fin” Grants to local individuals that have been diagnosed with brain cancer. There were also T-shirt sales, a snack stand, beer, a DJ, and the Inside Scoop ice cream truck.
