Firearm found

Two people found a firearm and ammunition in the Little Lehigh Creek while kayaking and notified state police who responded to a location along Orchid Place, Lower Macungie Township, 3:16 p.m. June 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The firearm was rusted shut, according to authorities.

Criminal mischief

A metal chain was damaged at Student Transportation of America, U.S. Route 100, Lower Macungie Township, overnight June 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Someone allegedly cut a chain link off the main gate lock between 2 p.m. June 23 and 6:30 a.m. June 24. A zip tie was used to link the chain back together. Nothing else was damaged and no items were missing, according to authorities.

Harassment

A 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old male, both of Macungie, were charged with harassment after they allegedly admitted to blocking a roadway, shouting obscenities and striking a newspaper carrier’s vehicle in an incident at a location on Boulder Circle, Lower Macungie Township, 3:33 a.m. July 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The newspaper carrier gave investigators video footage of the incident.

A 41-year-old male, of Macungie, was taken into custody for harassment after he allegedly kicked down a door in a residence along Butler Lane, Lower Macungie Township and pushed a person to the ground at the residence 1:13 a.m. July 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Scam

A resident along Four Seasons Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, lost $500 in an online scam through a website disguised as “Microsoft Support,” according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported June 13.

Identity theft

A resident of Buttercup Road, Lower Macungie Township, learned a credit card was opened in her name without her knowledge, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported July 3.

Forgery

Someone intercepted and altered a check from the business Green Acres Outdoor Living, 219 Schantz Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The check was altered to a different name and cashed for $15,921.50, according to authorities. The incident was reported 12:56 p.m. June 4.
