Grace Industries Inc. recently announced a temporary detour as part of the Lehigh and Race streets intersection improvement project.

SR 1004/Race Street will be closed to traffic between the intersections of Bridge Street and Lehigh Avenue in West Catasauqua and Race and Lehigh streets in Catasauqua beginning 6 p.m. July 26.

The scope of work includes implementing the detour, demolition and replacement of the grade crossing by Norfolk Southern Railroad and reopening the road at the anticipated completion date of 6 a.m. July 30.

Separate detour routes are provided for passenger traffic as well as truck traffic. Detailed detour routes are available on Catasauqua Borough’s website, catasauqua.org.
