Irene (Zorochin) Snyder, 90, of Hokendauqua, died July 17, 2024. She was the wife of the late Kenneth S. Snyder for 69 years.

Born in Summit Hill, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Kokinda) Zorochin.

She was a very active and dedicated member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church. She was past president of the church’s Golden Agers, where she ran bus trips and organized countless functions for 14 years. She also ran the church festival’s bake sale.

She was an officer for the former Whitehall Senior Citizens.

She is survived by six sons, Kenneth and wife Linda, Tom and wife Diane, David and wife Andrea, Mark and companion Suzi, Wayne and wife Renee and Brian and wife Monica; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and extended family.

She was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters.
