David F. Buskaritz

former Coplay Fire Department chief

David F. Buskaritz, 66, of Coplay, died July 17, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Denise (Line) Buskaritz for 45 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Frank and Margaret (Beehrle) Buskaritz.

He was a 1975 graduate of Whitehall High School.

He was employed by Stanley Black and Decker, Allentown, for 39 years before retiring in 2020.

He was a lifelong member of Coplay Fire Department, serving his community for 48 years. He held many roles in the department, including fire chief.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Matthew and wife Christine; two daughters, Jennifer Fendrick and husband Lewis and Amber Craig; five grandchildren, Carter Craig, Logan Fendrick, Rachel Fendrick, Collin Craig and Cadence Craig; a sister, Ann Thorn; a brother-in-law, Randall Line and wife Susan; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Richard Craig Jr.

Family and guests will be received 1-3 p.m. July 25 at the funeral home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall. This will be followed by a fireman procession to his final resting place in the Coplay Cemetery columbarium.
