The summer concert series continues at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St. The Smith Compound Band will perform 7-10 p.m. July 26 at the park’s amphitheater.

Remember to bring a lawn chair and/or blanket.

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., will be holding bingo July 28. Cash bingo begins 1 p.m., with doors opening noon.

As a nice incentive, the cash prize per game will be increased. Bingo will continue with tricky tray, 50/25/25 raffle and a piggy number.

There will be refreshments available for purchase. Bring a nonperishable food item for the Whitehall Food Pantry.

Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., is holding a Christmas in July half-price sale on all Christmas items and red, green and white clothing through July 31.

Regular hours at the shop are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.

We are happy to accept donations of good, used, clean clothing, household items and toys during store hours. Proceeds are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.

The Public Library of Catasauqua is planning to hold a yard sale 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 10 at Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St.

Purchases entitle you to receive a ticket to return 1-1:30 p.m. for bargain prices. Proceeds will benefit the library.
