The ninth annual Northampton Area School District Student Council car show is set for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. July 27 at Bicentennial Park West, 5351 Park West Lane, East Allen Township. The rain date is July 28.

All makes, models and years of cars, trucks, motorcycles and antique tractors are welcome. There will be dash plaques for the first 100 preregistered cars.

Registration will be held 9 a.m.-noon, and awards start 3 p.m. There will be 35 awards.

The event will also include door prizes, a tricky tray, food, deejay and a craft and flea market. All proceeds will benefit Student Council.

The township is offering free popcorn and water. Bring your lawn chair and/or blanket.

Lappawinzo Fish and Game Association, 25 Lappawinzo Road, Allen Township, is hosting its first Back the Blue bike ride Aug. 10. It will start at the association grounds and end in Lehighton.
