Victoria “Vicki” J. Newman, 82, of Bethlehem, died July 14, 2024, in the Health Care Center, Moravian Village, Bethlehem. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late Irving and and the late Natalie (Milt) Lebold.

She was a graduate of Brooklyn Wingate H.S. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College in 1963 and a Master’s Degree in Education from San Jose State College in 1967.

She was an elementary school teacher in the Bethlehem Area School District until she retired. She previously taught school in Brooklyn, New York, and Alum Rock, California.

She was a member of Congregation Brith Sholom, Bethlehem.

She was a member of the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University and of the Southern Poverty Law Center.

She supported several rescue groups including the Humane Society.

She was predeceased by a dear friend, Lloyd.
