Taylor Swift Glam Night planned for Aug. 13 at SHS

The summer movie series continues at the AMC in the Promenade. See a different movie every week for a low price Mondays and Wednesdays. The next movieplaying July 17 will be “Sing 2” followed by “The Secret Life of Pets” July 22 and 23. This is just one fun way to beat the heat this summer.
St. Luke’s is offering free sports physicals to Salisbury High School student athletes. You must register for an appointment and bring completed Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, Inc. forms to the event. The event will be held at Coca-Cola Park 2-5:45 p.m. July 30. To sign up, use the QR code located on information sent by the district or email sportsphysicalinquiry@sluhn.org.
The Salisbury junior varsity/varsity soccer teams and LV Gore FC will host a preseason soccer clinic July 29 at the SHS turf field.
Students in grades 7-12 will run 9-11 a.m. while grades kindergarten through sixth grade students will run 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Don’t miss this chance to train together and focus on technical skills, soccer IQ and team-building activities.
All skill levels are welcome and registration is required. There is a registration fee. Online registration is available until July 28 at registration.teamsnap.com/form/9406 and day of registration will be available for a higher price. Questions can be directed to coachseannolan@gmail.com.
Salisbury is looking for coaches for the upcoming seasons. Assistant soccer and junior varsity soccer coaches and assistant cross country coaches interested in the positions should email Activities Director Monica Deeb at mdeeb@salisburysd.org.
Salisbury football will sponsor a golf outing Aug. 10 at the Wedgewood Golf Course. There is a per person or foursome cost. Entry includes 18 holes of golf with cart, welcome bag, hot dog, beverages and snacks at the turn, an awards buffet dinner as well as prizes and contests. The Salisbury cheerleaders are hosting a Taylor Swift Glam Night. Your kids will have a great time doing hair, nails, making bracelets, dancing and singing 6-7:30 p.m. Aug. 13 in the SHS main gym. Cost is per child due at drop off. Registration is required and can be done by emailing Coach Stokes at kstokes@salisburysd.org.
Salisbury Youth Association fall sports registration is live and online. If your students are interested in any fall sports, now is the time to get them registered. Most registrations close July 28. Visit syasports.net for fall sports information.
The township yard waste drop off sites are open. The Devonshire site will be open July 18 and 20 and the Franko site will be open July 22, 25 and 27. The sites are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
